Verify the Power Supply is in the off position then insert the IEC connector end of the AC power
cable to the IEC port on the rear of the power supply on the opposite side from the ring
connectors and then plug into an AC power outlet.

Once power is connected, double check all red & black connectors to ensure no polarity
mismatch then switch the power supply to the On position.

If no HF capability is needed, turn the radio on by pressing and holding the center of the [AF >
RF/SQL] knob on the front of the control unit.

You may now change channels to a local repeater or simplex frequency to check your
connectivity. Please see the operating or Nifty operating manual for instructions.
b.
Verify your backup battery is working by switching the power supply to the Off position.

If HF capability is needed, locate the antenna tuner.
18.
Connect the multi-pin connector of the cable to the antenna tuner port [RADIO].
19.
Connect the Molex connector end of the cable to the port on the main unit [TUNER].
