Suggested Cleaning Procedure
Cleaning Solution
Use a nickel-safe ice machine cleaning solution and mix 16oz of cleaner for ever 6 liters
of water.
Cleaning Procedure
1. Close the water supply valve.
2.
Set the power switch to the ‘DRAIN’ position.
3. Water in the water reservoir is drained through the evaporator cylinder for up to 5
minutes.
4. Set the power switch to the ‘OFF’ position and turn the circuit breaker to the ‘OFF’
position as well.
5. Remove all ice from the ice storage bin so it is not contaminated during the cleaning
process.
6. Remove the 5 knob screws from the ice chute assembly and lift up to remove it.
7. Pour the pre-mixed cleaning solution in through the extruding head until the
evaporator and water reservoir are full. (The solution will overflow from the drip
pan when it’s full)
If too much scale at the extruding head clogs the hose between the water reservoir
& the evaporator, fill with cleaning solution until the water reservoir is full & until
the extruding head at the top of the evaporator is fully immersed.
8. Leave the ice maker for a bout 10 minutes before operating the machine, and if the
water reservoir hose is clogged, be sure to unclog it before starting the machine.
9. If the float switch is scaled up and/or dirty, access it by disassembling the water
reservoir in the following manner before moving on to step 11.
