3.  FUNCTION

KE4032-GS is a kettle that uses electronics

to control heating or keep water warm.

1) With power-on detecting function: when

the kettle is placed onto the power base,

all four indicators in the control panel

illuminate and a beep can be heard. At the

same time, the indicators in the kettle light

up in a red, green, blue sequence and then

turn off. The indicators in the control panel

turn off simultaneously, together with one

beep being heard.

2) Different colours for indicating different

temperatures: The indicator in the kettle

will illuminate in different colours according

to the water temperature. 50°C (green),

70°C (blue), 80°C (purple), 90°C (light

green), 100°C (red).

4.  OPERATION

1) Boiling water Position the kettle on the

power base, press the 100°C button. The

kettle starts to work and heats the water

up to 100°C. Once started, the indicators in

the control panel go out and the indicator

in the kettle illuminates in red. When the

water temperature reaches 100°C, the

indicator in the kettle will turn off and two

beeps can be heard.

2) Heating water to a selected temperature

Position the kettle on the power base.

Press the ”+/-” button to select your

desired water temperature (50°C, 70°C,

80°C, 90°C. A corresponding indicator will

then light up. Then hold down the “100°C

button” for 3 seconds. The kettle will then

start and heat the water to the selected

temperature. When it has finished the

indicator in the kettle will go out and two

beeps will be heard. The kettle switches to

water heating mode after the water has

reached the selected temperature. The

indicator for the selected temperature then

flashes once for a second. When the water

temperature reaches the selected

temperature two beeps can be heard, and

the kettle switches over to heat retention

mode. When the water has been kept warm

for 30 minutes, the kettle starts to work

and heat the water to the selected

temperature, at that time, all the indicators

turn off and two beeps can be heard.

3) Heat retention at a selected temperature

Position the kettle on the power base. Press

the ”+/-” button to select your desired water

temperature (50°C, 70°C, 80°C, 90°C. A

corresponding indicator will then light up.

Then hold down the “100°C button” for 3

seconds. The kettle will enter into heat

retention mode after the water has reached

the selected temperature. The indicator for

the selected heat retention temperature will

then flash once a second. When the water

temperature reaches the selected

temperature, two beeps can be heard and

the kettle will enter into heat retention

mode. After maintaining the temperature for

30 minutes, the kettle will shut off automati-

cally and all the indicators will turn off.

NOTE: Ensure that the power switch is

free of obstructions and the lid is firmly

closed. The kettle will not turn off if the

switch is constrained or if the lid is open.

5.  Lift the kettle from the power base and then

pour the water. The lid is designed with

two opening positions. When you press

and hold the lid button, the lid will be only

partly open, and steam can be released

partially at this stage. Then when you

release the lid button, the lid will fully open.

NOTE: Take care when pouring the water

from your kettle as boiling water may

result in scalding. Do not open the lid

while the water in the kettle is hot.

6.  The kettle will not boil water again before

you press the power switch down. The

kettle can be stored on the power base

when not in use.

NOTE: Disconnect the plug when the

appliance is not being used.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION :

Should you accidentally let the kettle operate

without water, the boil-dry protection will

automatically switch off the power. If this

occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling

with cold water to re-boil.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

Always disconnect the appliance from the

power outlet and let it cool down completely

before cleaning.
1.  Never immerse the kettle, power cord or

power base in water, or allow moisture to

come into contact with these parts.

2.  Wipe the surface of the appliance with a

damp cloth or mild soapy solution, never

use a vigorous cleaner.

CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel,

wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the

outside of the kettle so as to prevent

gloss loss.

3.  When the kettle is not in use or is to be

stored, the power cord can be wound

under the bottom of kettle.

REMOVAL OF MINAL DEPOSITS:

Your kettle should be descaled at regular

intervals. Regular descaling extends the life

of the kettle. Mineral deposits from tap water

may form scale on the bottom of kettle and

make it less efficient. Use a household

descaling agent and follow the instructions on

the package of descaler. Alternatively, you may

follow the instructions as below to use the

white vinegar.
1.  Fill the kettle with 1 dl of white vinegar or

2 dl of vinegar essence, then add 6 dl of

water. Leave the solution in the kettle

overnight.

2.  Then discard the mixture in the kettle,

filling the kettle with clean water, boiling

and then throw it away. Repeat several

times until the odour of vinegar has been

flushed away. Any stains remaining inside

the spout can be removed by rubbing with

a damp cloth.
