IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
EN
13. Household appliances must be positioned
on a stable surface, with the handles
positioned to avoid spillages of hot liquids.
14. The appliance and its power cord must be
checked regularly for any signs of damage.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or qualified staff in order to avoid a
hazard.
15. The appliance is not intended to be used
with an external timer or a separate
remote control system.
16. Do not touch the sight glass. It gets very
hot during frying.
17. During the frying process, hot steam is
released through the filter. Keep your
hands and face at a safe distance from the
steam. Also beware of hot steam when
opening the lid.
18. Make sure that the deep fryer is filled with
oil or fat to a level between “MIN” and
“MAX” to avoid overheating or spillages.
19. Do not switch the appliance on until you
have filled it with oil or fat, as it may
damage the appliance.
20. Never use the appliance with wet hands.
Unplug the power cord immediately if the
appliance is damp or wet.
21. Before cleaning or putting the appliance
away, always switch it off, and remove the
plug from the socket (pull on the plug
itself, not the cord) if you are not going to
use it. Also remove all accessories.
22. Do not leave the appliance unattended
when you are using it. Always switch the
appliance off if you leave the room. Unplug
the appliance.
23. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.
Always contact an authorised technician. If
the plug is damaged, it must be replaced
with the same kind of cord by the
manufacturer, our customer service
center or qualified staff in order to avoid a
hazard.
24. Keep children away from packaging
material (plastic bags, cartons, polystyre-
ne, etc.) for safety reasons.
25. The surfaces of the appliance may get very
hot when in use.
26. For detailed information about cleaning
the surfaces that come into contact with
food and oil, look at the section on
“Cleaning and Maintenance”.
