1.3.13 Idle Button
The Idle button is used to end the engine control session and place the engine in the
curb idle speed. On the 3050621 and 3050622 models of the FPG, holding the idle
button while no mode is engaged will display status messages on the status display
(see 1.4.6 for a detailed list of messages).
1.3.14 Increment/Decrement Buttons
The pump pressure or engine speed setpoint is controlled by the + and – buttons on
the 3050621 and 3050622 models of the FPG. The + and – buttons are also used to
adjust configuration settings when the FPG is in the configuration menu mode.
1.3.15 Increment/Decrement Knob with Idle Button
The pump pressure or engine speed setpoint is controlled by the rotary knob on the
3050623 and 3050624 models of the FPG. The direction the knob is turned to cause
an increase in the setpoint value is configurable to be either clockwise or
counterclockwise. The rotary knob is also used to adjust configuration settings when
the FPG is in the configuration menu mode. The rotary knob has an integral Idle
button that is used to end the engine control session and place the engine in the
curb idle speed.
1.3.16 Status Button
The status button is used to display status messages on the status display (see
1.4.6 for a detailed list of messages). The status button is available on the 3050623
and 3050624 models of the FPG.
1.4 Operation
The FPG has six modes of operation that are used for specific pump and engine control applications:
initialization, ready, speed control, pressure control, high-idle control, and idle. The configuration mode is
used to edit FPG system parameters. The configuration mode menu can only be entered from the ready
mode when the FPG is not controlling the engine. The following sections detail the operation of the FPG
control modes, the required interlocks, warnings, and alarms.
