meet morph lock
morph lock is an accessory for upper limb prosthetic devices that switches
EMG electrode input on and off. It works with RFID tags. Each tag is
programmed with a lock command. When
morph lock detects a tag near
the prosthesis, morph lock pauses EMG input to the hand, thereby freezing
the hand in place. Approaching a tag again resumes EMG input and unlocks
the hand.
morph lock does not remove any functionality from the prosthetic hand.
Users can continue to use traditional operation to switch functions as needed
without the use of tags.
morph lock is compatible with most hands and wrists that accept standard
analog electrodes with three-port kidney-style connectors. Examples include
the Motion Control ETD, Steeper bebionic hand and Touch Bionics i-limb
