Telephone Company Checklist for ISDN Operation
If you are planning to use your WaveRunner's ISDN capabilities, you must have
ISDN service provided by your local telephone company (i.e. Ameritech, US
West, GTE, British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, etc.) and a
Network Terminator (NT1). If you do not, contact your telephone company and
order an ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) with at least one data channel.
(Additional information to help the phone company set up your line can be found
in Appendix B.)
If your telephone company does not provide one, you will need to
purchase an NT-1. We recommend the IBM 7845 NT1 Extended (North America
only). You may order one by calling IBM at 800-IBM-CALL (800-426-2255).
When you obtain ISDN service or if you have ISDN service already, contact your
telephone company and obtain the following information:
North America
