Rewinding the Tape into the Cartridge
1.
Turn off the power to the 3580 Ultrium 2 Tape Drive and disconnect the power
cord from the electrical outlet.
2.
Disconnect the SCSI cables located at the back of the unit (to determine the
location of the SCSI connectors, see Figure 2 on page 7).
3.
Place the 3580 Ultrium 2 Tape Drive on its side and locate the access hole at the
bottom of the unit (see
1
in Figure 24).
4.
With a small-blade screwdriver or potentiometer, remove the screw

from
the access hole.
