7.0 General
7.1 Introduction
This specification describes the host interface of DARA-2xxxxx.
The interface conforms to the Working Document of Information technology - AT Attachment with Packet
Interface Extension (ATA/ATAPI-4) Revision 17 dated on October 30th, 1997.
with certain limitations
described in 8.0, “Deviations From Standard” on page 65.
DARA-2xxxxx support following new functions included by ATA/ATAPI-4 standard or newer standard.
S.M.A.R.T. Error Logging and Self Test commands
Ultra-DMA/66 transfer commands

7.2 Terminology
Device Device indicates DARA-2xxxxx
Host Host indicates the system that the device is attached to.
First Command The command which is executed first right after power on reset or hard reset when
the initial power mode at power on is Standby mode.
