TCP/IP Configuration
Only disable this mode when directed by support personnel.
The following TCP/IP configuration parameters are required for successful
operation with other computers on your TCP/IP Network. This information
can be obtained automatically by your computer if your network supports
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. Consult with your 5500 administrator
prior to installation to determine if these services are available. If DHCP is not
available, your 5500 administrator should provide you with configuration
information for each of the following:
IP Address
The IP address is the Internet Address that your computer uses to
communicate with other computers over the network. Each time that your
computer connects to the 5500 it is automatically assigned an Internet
Address for your use. It is not recommended that you configure your
computer to use DHCP to obtain an IP Address unless you have a DHCP
server near the 5500. If you specify an IP Address manually, ensure the
address is the same assigned to you by the 5500.
Subnet Mask
The subnet mask identifies the network to which your computer is connected.
Default Gateway
This is the Internet Address of the default gateway.
