Removing
the
system
board
and
shuttle
The
system
board
is
attached
to
a
shuttle
for
easy
replacement.
Shuttle release

Shuttle assembly
To
remove
the
system
board
and
shuttle,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Read
the
safety
information
that
begins
on
page
and
2.
Turn
off
the
server,
and
all
attached
devices.
3.
Disconnect
all
external
cables
and
power
cords.
4.
Remove
the
cover.
Note:
When
replacing
the
system
board,
you
must
either
update
the
server
with
the
latest
firmware
or
restore
the
pre-existing
firmware
that
the
customer
provides
on
a
diskette
or
CD
image.
Make
sure
that
you
have
the
latest
firmware
or
a
copy
of
the
pre-existing
firmware
before
you
proceed.
5.
Remove
the
following
components
and
place
them
on
a
static-protective
surface
for
reinstallation:

Remove

air
baffle

All
other
adapters

v
The
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter

SlimLine
