At the rear of the rack, carefully retract the rail until it lines up with the rack flange and seat the
pins in the marked mounting holes. Then, close the rear hinge bracket to secure the rail to the rack
cabinet flange.
11. Install one M5 screw in the open hole in the bracket between the two alignment pins (C) at the rear
of the rack.
12. Repeat this procedure for the other support rail.
Installing the 5147-024, ESLL, or ESLS storage enclosure into a rack
To install the 5147-024, ESLL, or ESLS storage enclosure into a rack, complete the steps in this procedure.
In addition to related safety information, illustrations of the related hardware components are provided.
Important:
Two people are required to safely lift the enclosure. Using fewer than two people to lift the
enclosure can result in injury.
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap attached. If not, attach it now.
2. Remove the left side cover (A) and right side cover (B) to show the mounting brackets. Pinch the
release to rotate the cover up and off from the chassis flange as shown in Figure 7 on page 8.
