Configuring
the
server
The
following
configuration
programs
are
available
to
configure
the
server:

Configuration/Setup
Utility
program
The
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program
is
part
of
the
basic
input/output
system
(BIOS)
code.
You
can
use
this
program
to
configure
serial
port
assignments,
change
interrupt
request
(IRQ)
settings,
change
the
device
startup
sequence,
set
the
date
and
time,
and
set
passwords.

IBM
ServerGuide
Setup
and
Installation
CD
The
ServerGuide
program
provides
software-setup
tools
and
installation
tools
that
are
designed
for
the
server.
Use
this
CD
during
the
installation
of
the
server
to
configure
basic
hardware
features,
such
as
a
ServeRAID
adapter,
and
to
simplify
the
installation
of
the
operating
system.

Mini-baseboard
management
controller
utility
programs
Use
these
programs
to
configure
the
mini-baseboard
management
controller,
to
update
the
firmware
and

data,
and
to
remotely
manage
a
network.

Menu
program
The
Boot
Menu
program
is
part
of
the
BIOS
code.
Use
it
to
override
the
startup
sequence
that
is
set
in
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program
and
temporarily
assign
a
device
to
be
first
in
the
startup
sequence.

Agent
The
Broadcom
NetXtreme
Gigabit
Ethernet
Boot
Agent
is
part

it

configure

network

startable
device,
and
you
can
customize
where
the
network
startup
optional
devices
occur
in
the
startup
sequence.
Enable
and
disable
the
Broadcom
NetXtreme
Gigabit
Ethernet
Boot
Agent
from
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program.
