Using Windows XP native recording with your CD-RW drive
Your CD-RW drive is fully compatible with the recording functions built into
Windows XP. You can record data CDs without adding any additional software if
you are running Windows XP. If you install the DLA software that comes with
your CD-RW drive, Windows Native recording will be disabled and DLA will
perform the formatting and writing functions. The CDs that you create with
Windows native recording can be used in most versions of Windows without any
special readers.
