PIN:
PIN requires four or more numbers. Longer PINs tend to be more secure.
Password:
Password requires four or more letters or numbers. This is the most secure option,
as long as you create a strong password.
Remove screen lock device protection
Using a screen lock is important for securing your device, so we recommend continuing to use a
screen lock method like Pattern or password. However, if you don't want to use a PIN, pattern, or
password, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the
Settings
app
.
2. Scroll down to
Security
>
Screen lock
.
3. Choose
None
or
Swipe
.
Make pattern visible:
Enable it to show pattern lock while unlocking.
Automatically lock:
You can set automatically lock your device after certain time of screen sleep
except when device is unlocked by Smart Lock.
Power button instantly locks:
Tap Power button instantly locks to enable the device to instantly
lock the screen by pressing the Power/Lock Key or touch to disable it.
Lock screen message:
The information of the owner can be stored and then can be displayed
on the lock screen.
Smart Lock:
Set up your device to automatically unlock when you have a trusted Bluetooth
device connected, when you're at a trusted location, when you're carrying it with you, or when it
recognizes your face.
Encrypt tablet:
You can encrypt your accounts,setting,downloaded apps and their
data,media,and other files.After you encrypt your tablet,assuming you‘ve set up a screen lock
(that
is a pattern or numeric PIN or password),you‘ll need to unlock the screen to decrypt the
tablet every time you power it ON. The only other way to decrypt is to perform a factory data
reset, erasing all your data.
