Setup the Thin Client
This chapter describes the procedure to setup the thin client. This procedure must be performed by the
system administrator. It is assumed the thin client has been installed properly using the instructions in
the previous section.
Step One: Configure the IP Address
When you power up the thin client, it will load the operating system and present you with a desktop.
The thin client by default is set to obtain its IP address from a DHCP server. If you desire to assign a
static IP address, follow these steps:
1.
Right click on the desktop. Select the Settings menu option.
2.
Select the Network Configuration button.
3.
Click on the “Static address setup” radio button.
Enter the IP address, Subnet Mast, Default Gateway, and Broadcast Address.
Click the Next button.
