1. Preparation: Firstly, insert all 12 wooden dowels into the respective pre-drilled holes (marked black in the illustration) in parts A, B1, B2, C
and D. These holes are recognizable by the fact they are not drilled all the way through.
2. Parts C, E and D should now be joined using the wooden dowels.
3. Lay parts A, B1 and B2 down with the wooden dowels facing up in order to attach the previously joined half frame (formed by parts C, E and
D).
4. Join the side parts C and D to the headboard E through the pre-drilled holes, inserting one screw for each hole with the help of the hexagon
key. The screw heads can now be covered from the outside of parts C and D using the supplied screw covers.
5. The joined parts may now be turned through 180 degrees and placed on a soft base (e.g. a blanket) in order to screw the bed surfaces
together (parts A and B) to the parts C and D, through the pre-drilled screw holes.
6. Please attach rubber separators at the right and left inside of parts A, B1 and B2.
7. Next, you may place the changing unit onto the Hemnes chest of drawers. Please ensure you place it onto the chest of drawers upright to
avoid it tilting.
8. The changing unit generally keeps its place due to the exact fit. Nevertheless, we suggest you screw together the changing table top unit
with the chest of drawers (these tools and parts are not included in the scope of supply).
9. Finally, in order to prevent the chest of drawers from falling over, fasten the back of the drawers holding the secured changing unit to the
wall.
10. After having assembled the changing table top unit and having it fixed on top of the chest of drawers, place the back of the drawers directly
against the wall at your desired position.
11. Hold the metal brackets against the bottom side of part B1, B2 where pre-drilled holes can be found to indicate where to place them
correctly. Now mark the drill holes on the wall using the metal brackets as a template.
12. Move the chest of drawers away from the wall to allow yourself to drill the holes. Next attach the metal brackets to the wall. Each of the
metal brackets has a small metal plate, these are used as washers for the screws to enable vertical and horizontal adjustment.
13. Finally, move the chest of drawers back to your desired position against the wall and mount the metal brackets with the four wooden screws
through the pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the changing unit.
