Troubleshooting
1.
I am not able to control my charger using the App at home
First check your Hypervolt is online by confirming the solid blue light all around the outside of the unit. A Slow pulsing white confirms its offline in which case go to
Settings - Network - Change Network and follow the Instructions to reconnect.
If the Hypervolt is online check that your smartphone is also reliably connected to either your wi-fi network of a mobile network which provides broadband. Sometimes
especially if you are on your driveway your smartphone might be fighting between using your home wi-fi and the mobile network to help turn one or the other off in
your phones settings.
2. I am not able to control my charger using the App away from home
So long as your Hypervolt is connected to the internet (Wi-fi or Hardwired) you can control it from the App anywhere in the world so long as your smartphone has a
good internet connection itself.
Be warned your phone might give the impression it is connected to the internet when in fact it is not. Often phones showing 3G are getting a very low connection rate
or are in the process of moving to a 4G mast, the illusion is that you have a connection when in fact you don’t, try opening a webpage you have not been to before and
see what happens. Believe it or not this also happens on 5G connections. Some Apps look like they are working but all they are doing is showing information stored
on your phone during times of poor connection, the Hypervolt App needs to get live data from the charger so of course cannot use this tick.
3.
The charger looks off and no lights are showing
This could mean that there is no power reaching your Hypervolt device. Usually as simple as a circuit breaker that is off or has tripped. Please check the circuit breaker
and make sure that it is ON. Press the test button on an RCD/RCBO style circuit breaker to test that it works.
Have you checked the circuit breakers of your unit but the charger is still looks off?
It could be that you have turned the LED
brightness down to 0%, check in the app (Settings - LED Brightness) and turn them back up to 100%
4. The charging session does not start
There are a few reasons why a charging session might not start:
•
The vehicle is scheduled to charge at a later time.
•
The vehicle is completely charged, hence it cannot
charge anymore.
•
The vehicle may have an error, check the vehicle for any messages.
•
The charging plug is not connected properly, unplug the charging connector and re-connect.
•
The charging plug may be dirty or damaged, ensure that it is in good condition.
