OPERATING TIPS
(cont.)
10) If at any times, your pellet grill fails to ignite wood pellets in the fire-pot while cooking or smoking, when
abundant wood pellets are still in the pellet hopper, it is very important to follow these steps below.
Failure to do so may cause a hazardous “over-firing” of your pellet grill due to excess of unburnt wood
pellets in the fire-pot.
a. Turn the switch to OFF(O) and disconnect the power cord. Let the grill cool down thoroughly.
b. Remove all unburnt wood pellets and ash from inside and around the fire-pot. Then follow the INITIAL
IGNITING instruction above to restart the grill.
11) Hopper Clean-Out: Your Grill has a hopper clean-out system that allows you to quickly change from
one pellet flavor to another without making a mess.
a. Turn the switch to OFF (O) and disconnect the power cord. If the grill is still hot, allow it to cool
completely.
b. Place a container large enough to hold the discarded pellets under the pellet clean-out door.
c. Unscrew the clean-out door fastener and open, allowing the pellets to empty into the container below it.
You might need a spatula or spoon to push the remaining pellets out of the hopper.
d.
Once the hopper's empty, close the door, replace the fastener, and refill the hopper with a different
flavor of wood pellets.
CARE&MAINTAINING TIPS
To keep your grill performing at an excellent level, please follow these care and maintaining tips to service
your grill.
IMPORTANT: Disconnect the power cord and wear gloves when servicing/cleaning the grill
An important step is allowing the grill and cooking grids to self-clean by running the grill at a high
temperature for 5 to 10 minutes after each use.
Auger Assembly Clean: Clean when auger hopper is empty. Allow auger to push out sawdust and
excess pellets in the auger tube. A vacuum cleanser is the best way to clean if available .
Grid and Smoker Shelf Clean: Use a long-handled grill cleaning brush (brass or soft metal) to remove
any food or build-up from the cooking grid and smoker shelf. Best practice is to do this while they are
still warm from a previous cook. Grease fires are caused by too much fallen debris on the cooking
components of the grill. Clean the inside of your grill on a consistent basis.
Grease Drain Pan and Slide Heat Baffle Clean: Wipe up remaining grease residue on the grease drain
pan and slide heat baffle with paper towels or disposable rags. DO NOT WASH CLEAN! Clean upon
every 5-6 Grill Sessions.
Fire Pot Clean: A vacuum cleaner is the best way to clean the pellet ash from the fire-pot but this must
be done with extreme care to avoid fire risk. Again, removing the pellet ash from the fire-pot should be
done only while your pellet grill cools down thoroughly. Clean upon every 2-3 Grill sessions.
Grease Bucket Clean: Check your grease bucket often, and clean out as necessary. Wrap your grease
bucket with aluminum foil for convenient clean-up. Empty it periodically, depending on amount of use.
Replace the aluminum foil on the Grease Drain Pan frequently will make your food taste better and
lower the risk of a grease fire.
