Operating the flow meter (optional accessory)
The flow meter is made of impact-resistant fiberglass-reinforced plastic. The
electronic component is shock-proof and sealed against oil ingress. The
electronics are powered by a lithium battery which is designed for a service
life of approx. 7 years of normal operation.
Replacing the battery
The battery can be replaced. Replacing the battery must be carried out by
specialist personnel, since the calibration factor needs to be reprogrammed
at the same time.
A battery symbol indicating replacement of the battery appears before the
battery is entirely discharged.
Resetting the flow meter - RESET
The display of the batch register memory can be set to ZERO by pushing the
RESET button. Resetting is not possible during an operating cycle. Resetting
the totalizer is only possible through internal programming.
Function monitoring
The RESET command automatically triggers a self-test of the meter. The
LCD shows all of the "8" display segments. Volumetric impulses that come in
during the self-test phase are registered and evaluated. All the other saved
values, such as unit of measurement and correction factor, are checked.
Only when the values tally, will a normal measurement be performed. If one
or several values do not tally, this is indicated by a number of dashes ( ---- )
and the metering function stops.
The measured volume and all the measuring impulses are evaluated in any
case and added to the dosing volume shown last, provided you do not trigger
a new dosing process by pushing the Reset button.
