Preparing the vehicle for difficult operating conditions

Use of the vehicle under difficult conditions, such as on sand or on wet and muddy surfaces, can result
in significantly increased wear of components, such as the drive train, brake system, or suspension
components. For this reason, it may be necessary to inspect or replace parts before the next scheduled
service.

Clean the air filter and air filter box.

Check the air filter approx. every 30 minutes.

Check the electrical connector for humidity and corrosion and to ensure it is firmly seated.
» If humidity, corrosion, or damage is found:

Clean and dry the connector, or change it if necessary.
Difficult operating conditions are:

Rides on dry sand. (

Rides on wet sand. (

Rides on wet and muddy circuits. (

Rides at high temperatures or slow riding. (

operation, the coolant gets very hot and is
under pressure.

Do not open the radiator, the radiator
hoses or other cooling system compo-
nents if the engine or the cooling system
are at operating temperature.

Allow the cooling system and the engine
to cool down before you open the radiator,
the radiator hoses or other components of
the cooling system.
–
In the event of scalding, rinse the area
affected immediately with lukewarm water.
–
Change the radiator cap.
