When the mower leaves the charging station it search-
es for the area that has been least mown. This means
that the settings made in
Lawn coverage
are then not
used by the mower. The automatic settings made by
the robotic lawnmower cannot be read in the display.
The mower stays around the point it judges to be least
cut until it has been cut short. This means the mower
can be seen turning and driving to and fro over a small
part of the garden. This does not mean there is an
error however, it is part of the normal pattern of GPS
assisted navigation.
If any problems arise with the GPS assisted naviga-
tion, the built map can be cleared with the
Settings -
General - Reset - Reset GPS map
.
The mower then
has to build up a new map, which can take a number
of days.
3.8 Weather timer
If the
Weather timer
function is enabled, the mower
will adapt the mow time to the growth of the grass.
This is achieved with the resistance of the cutting disk
continually being measured and compared with an
average value. If there is more resistance than the av-
erage value then the mower is allowed to work longer
and vice versa. It takes 24 hours of mowing before
an average value can been attained. The weather
timer will not differentiate between any cutting times
during this period. The average value is reset if the
mower has been shut down for more than 50 hours,
the settings have been reset or if the cutting height is
adjusted.
Manual timer settings always have priority over the
weather timer and the mower is never allowed to mow
more than the set times with the weather timer, only
less. The mower will always complete at least one
cutting cycle per 24-hour period and only then will the
cutting time be limited according to the weather timer.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If the same robotic lawnmower is
used for 2 or more charging stations
that are close together (neighbors for
instance), the GPS assisted navigation
can only be used in one of the working
areas. Otherwise the digital map can be
misleading and the robotic lawnmower's
lawn coverage can therefore be reduced.
