7 Repairs
7.6 Motor package and fan spiral
7.6.1 Dismantling the motor package and fan spiral
1. Dismantle the starter assembly. See Dismantling
the starter assembly on page 17.
2. Dismantle the exhaust system. See Dismantling
the exhaust system on page 23.
3. Dismantle the choke control. See Dismantling the
carburettor on page 20.
4. Dismantle the throttle cable and take out the fuel
hose and purge hose. See
Air filter and
carburettor on page 20 .
5. Dismantle the short-circuit cables on the ignition
module.
6. Dismantle the spark plug.
7. Dismantle the four screws of the vibration
damping system.
8. Twist the fan spiral out of the chassis.
9. Dismantle the five screws that hold the fan spiral
together. Split the fan spiral up.
10. Cut the insulation lengthwise along the edge of
spiral-half.
11. Pull the fan spiral apart.
