The following table contains definitions for all types of threading cycle parameters:

Lead in Angle. This is the infeed (chase in) angle with
respect to the X axis. Default 0°
B
Tapered Thread
Taper angle relative to the Z axis. -45° <= B <= 45°
C
Lead Out
Lead out Angle. Pullout (chase out) angle with
respect to X axis. Default 0°.
D
Cutting
Start rough depth. Required.
E
Cutting
Final rough depth. If E is not programmed, the value
defaults to D unless V is programmed.
F
Turn
Pitch. Inches/millimeters per revolution.

Turn
Lead. Threads per inch.
H
Length
The Z end position at the major radius.
I
Face
X position where thread starts.
J
Turn
Total depth of cut from the major radius to the minor
radius. End Depth = Z, Start Depth - Z+J.
K
Turn
Z position where thread starts.
L
Cutting
Depth of cut per finish pass. If L is not programmed,
then there are no finish passes. If P is nonzero and L
equals zero, then the number of spring passes equals
P + R.
M=0
Face
Turn Thread (default).
M=1
Face
Face Thread. No M value or M=0 activates the turn
thread.
P
Cutting
Number of finish passes implemented before starting
spring passes. If P is not programmed and L is
nonzero, set L to 1. Otherwise, no finish passes will
occur.
Q
Multiple Start
Thread cut start angle. The default is 0°.
+Q
Multiple Start
Multiple Start number. The angle per thread start
equals 360/Q.
R
Cutting
Number of spring passes at 0 depth per pass. A
spring pass is a repetition made by the finish tool
at the final finish depth.
S
Face
The X end position at Z Start Depth.
