Please note that before using Victor Reader for the first time, you need to connect the unit to a
power outlet. The batteries may have lost power during shipping. If the batteries are completely
discharged, it will take 11 hours to be fully charged. Please note that you can use your Victor
Reader while charging the batteries. For safety reasons, the battery compartment is sealed. Only
HumanWare or an authorized service center should replace batteries.
