Powering On the Server
•
Before powering on the server, ensure that the power switch is off.
•
During power-on, do not plug or insert a hard disk, network cable, or serial port cable.
•
After the server is powered off, wait at least 1 minute before powering on the server again.
Check cable connections.
Power on the server.
• Power and ground cables are correctly connected.
• The power supply voltage meets device requirements.
• The display, keyboard, or KVM-related cables are correctly connected.
• The power module has been installed correctly but not powered on: The server will be powered on with
the power module.
• The power module has been powered on, and the server is in
Standby
state: Power on the server
using the power switch on the front panel of the server.
• Using iMana to remotely power on the server: Log in to the iMana web page, choose
PS Management

, and click
OK

Powering Off the Server

Power off the server to the
Standby
state:
•
After power-off, all services and processes will be terminate. Before powering off the server, ensure that all services
and processes have stopped or migrated to other devices.
•
During read and write operations over a hard disk, do not turn off the external power supply or press and hold the
power button to power off the server. Otherwise, the hard disk may be corrupted, leading to data losses.
•
After the server is powered off, wait at least 1 minute before powering on the server again.
Power off the server completely:
When the server is powered off to the
Standby
state, turn off the external power supply to power off
the server completely.
• Use the KVM to shut down the operating system and power off the server.
• Press and hold the power button on the front panel to power off the server.
• Use iMana to remotely power on the server: Log in to the iMana web page, choose
PS Management
