Troubleshooting
If the installation fails
If you have previously installed a modem on your computer you
should uninstall it.
If you are using a Windows computer:
Go to
Control Panel
and
select
Add or Remove Programs
(in XP) or
Uninstall Program
(in Windows Vista and Windows 7).
If you are using a Mac:
Close the connection program for the
previous modem. Drag the icon to the Trash and empty the Trash.
If you are unable to connect to the Internet via your modem
Check that you have coverage for mobile broadband and that you
have installed the modem correctly. If you are using fixed broad-
band with a wireless router, first turn off the wireless network
when you want to surf using your mobile broadband connection.
If it takes a long time before your modem finds a mobile
network
If you have no 4G coverage it may take several minutes before
your modem finds a mobile network. To reduce the time it takes,
you can lock your modem to 2G or 3G.
Do as follows: First disconnect from the Internet but keep the
modem connected to your computer. Click
Settings
, then
Options
and
Network
. Then select
Only GSM
or
Only 3G
and
click
Use
. Then click
OK
.
NB! If you later use the modem in a location where there is 4G
coverage you will need to change the setting back to
AUTO
.
