Function
EDU
Completes the duplexing of the transmission and reception signals
of two TRXs, filters the transmission signal, filter, amplifies the
low noise, distributes the receiving signals, and feeds the TMA.
MDU
Provides the smooth capacity expansions for TRX1 to TRX8.
SCU
Completes the broadband combination function. The SCU is used
with the CDU to combine the transmission signals of multiple
TRXs. Less CDUs are used to reduce cost.
ESCU
Provides similar functions with those provided by the SCU. It can
also complete the 4-in-1 combined transmission.
The difference between the SCU and the ESCU is: a signal port of
the ESCU supports the maximum input power of 100 W, but the
SCU support the maximum input power of 60 W.
Antenna
Receives and sends signals.
Feeder
Transmit signals from the antenna to the cabinet. It can decrease
the transmission attenuation.
Lightning arrester for
the antenna and feeder
Prevents the lighting current inducted by the conductor inside the
feeder cable from damaging the equipment.
Antenna Feeder
Subsystem
TMA
Amplifies the uplink signals to enhance the receiving sensitivity
of the BTS system and the coverage area of the uplink signal. The
transmission power of the MS is reduced and the speech quality is
enhanced.
2.2.2 Common Subsystem
The common subsystem manages the whole BTS. It provides the reference clock, power
supply, transmission ports, maintenance ports, and external alarm collection ports.
Position in the System
shows the position of the common subsystem in the BTS30/312 when the TEU and
the TES are configured.
