UIM and SIM cards

HTC J has a card slot that accommodates either a CDMA UIM card or a GSM SIM card.

You can also use a dual-mode card in the slot. A dual-mode card allows you to
connect to either a CDMA network or a GSM network.

Inserting a UIM or SIM card

1.

Take the back cover off.

2.

Remove the battery.

3.

Insert a CDMA UIM or GSM SIM card into the slot. When inserting, make sure the
card’s gold contacts are facing down and its cut-off corner facing out.

Removing a UIM or SIM card

Make sure to switch off HTC J before removing your UIM or SIM card.

Take the back cover off.

2.

Remove the battery.

3.

Slide the UIM or SIM card out from the UIM/SIM slot.
