Important:
You must use Ethernet port 0 for the customer network connection.
Connecting the customer supplied SAS tape drive
The customer supplied Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) cable, HP 1.0m External Mini SAS High Density
to Mini SAS Cable, connects one of the SAS ports in PCIe on the back of the computer to the SAS
port on the rear of the customer supplied tape drive.
Turning on the system and verifying POST
About this task
After you assemble the system, turn on the server and verify the results of Power-On Self Test
(POST).
Before you begin
Install all hardware components as directed by Avaya CMS Provisioning personnel.
Procedure
1. Turn on the power to the UPS.
2. Turn on the tape drive, if installed.
3. Turn on the system monitor.
4. Press and release the power button.
The server boots up.
5. Verify the results of POST after the system boots. Contact Avaya CMS Provisioning if you
see any errors.
Turning the system over for provisioning
After completing the physical installation of the system, the certified Business Partner or the Avaya
CMS Provisioning group will provision features and services on the system.
