Hardware compatibility
An HPE 6127XLG switch module can form an IRF fabric only with switch modules in the same
series.

Software requirements
All IRF member devices must run the same software image version. Make sure the software
auto-update feature is enabled on all member devices.

To connect switch modules in different chassis into an IRF fabric, you must use the SFP+ or QSFP+
uplink ports on the front panel.
