1 Setting Up Your PC

Installing an Operating System

Insert “Setup Disk #3” when prompted by the installation program.

When

IDE CD-ROM (ATAPI1.2)/Dual Channel PCI IDE

is recognized and

proposed as a mass storage device, press

to continue.

to install the drivers for this device from the CD-

ROM.

Follow the instructions displayed by the Windows NT installation
program to continue the installation of Windows NT.

When the installation program tries to detect the network adapter,

Continue

in the next dialog box.

No Network

Add Network Adapter

dialog box, then click

OK

confirm your choice.

Continue the Windows NT installation until a dialog box proposes
the type of display connected to your computer.

When the installation of Windows NT is complete, click

Installing the HP IDE
Driver

To ensure a stable system, you should now install the HP IDE driver:
