Change any items that should be unique, such as the Management Server IP address, through the
normal operation of the software.
To install the agent on a system running HP-UX using the silent installation method:
1.
Create a temporary directory.
2.
Copy the following files into the temporary directory you just created:
o
DevManRA.ini—During an assisted install, this file is landed in the same folder in which the
agent is installed.
o
EULA—This file is included with the installation files on the HP Infrastructure Management Pack
CD and the software download package on the HP website
(
http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower
).
o
SetupRA—This file is included with the installation files on the HP Infrastructure Management
Pack CD and the software download package on the HP website
(
http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower
).
o
Uninstall—This file is included with the installation files on the HP Infrastructure Management
Pack CD and the software download package on the HP website
(
http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower
).
o
HPRA4.5Build

.depot—This file is included with the installation files on the HP Infrastructure
Management Pack CD and the software download package on the HP website
(
http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower
).
3.
From the directory that contains all five files, run
./SetupRA -s -f DevManRA.ini
to install
silently.
If the .ini file is not located in the same folder as the SetuprRA file, run
./SetupRA -s -f
<path> DevManRA.ini,
where <path> is the
DevManRA.ini
file location.
The following command line parameters can be specified and are applicable for both interactive and
silent modes.
Parameter

-s
Specifies a silent install.
-l
Creates an installation log
(opt/DevMan/install.log). Default is disabled for
interactive mode and enabled for silent mode.
The installation log is created automatically for
Windows® during silent installations in
\%systemdrive%\setup.log.
-f DevManRA.ini
Specifies a configuration .ini file used for clean
installs. When this option is specified, the device
detection and configuration step is omitted.
Reconfiguring the agent on HP-UX operating systems
To reconfigure the management module IP address or serial path, run
/sbin/init.d/DevMan setup
.
Uninstalling components from Windows® systems

Click
Start>Settings>Control Panel.
