Silencing an audible alarm
To silence an alarm, press any button on the front panel display to silence the alarm. If the alarm status
changes, the alarm beeps again, overriding the previous alarm silencing.
IMPORTANT:
•
Although the audible alarm silences, the condition that caused the alarm to sound may still
exist.
•
If a utility power failure caused the alarm, the alarm silences after power is restored.

Battery connection condition
Possible cause:
•
The UPS does not recognize the internal batteries.
•
Two or more battery trays are disconnected.
Action:
1.
Be sure that all the battery trays are fully seated and locked in place.
2.
If the condition persists, contact an HP authorized service representative.
Bypass is unavailable
Possible cause:
The UPS is receiving utility power that might be unstable or in brownout conditions. The UPS
continues to supply power to the connected equipment.
Action:
1.
Verify the bypass utility.
2.
Check for one of the following alarms:
o
Bypass over or under voltage
o
Bypass over or under frequency
o
Bypass unavailable
General alarm condition
Action
:
1.
If power management software is being used, check the log files to obtain specific error information to
help identify the problem.

2.
Check the batteries:
a.
Allow the UPS batteries to charge for 48 hours.
b.
If a Battery Fault occurs, replace the batteries.
