Select the possible owners, and then click
Next
to continue.

Specify the dependencies for the file share resource. The physical disk should always be selected
as a dependency. It is also possible to set the file share to be dependent on the network name for
the cluster group in which it will reside. If a dependency is set on the network name the file share
resource will not come online until the network name resource does. Click
Next
to continue.
NOTE:
The physical disk resource specified in this step must reside in the same cluster group as specified in
the beginning of this wizard.
8.
Specify the share name, path, and user limit, and then click
Next
to continue.
9.
Review the configuration, and then click
Finish
to create the share.
10.
After the resource is created it is necessary to bring it online. In the Cluster Resources page, select
the resource, and then click
Bring Online
.

Click
OK
on the
Bring a Resource Online
page to bring the new file share resource online.
Setting permissions for an SMB file share
When a share resource is created via the WebUI and brought online, the default permission is set to:
Everyone=Read-Only.
To change the default permissions:
1.
On the
Cluster
tab, click
Advanced Cluster Management
.

Log into Remote Desktop.
3.
Click the group.
