a.

Remove the display panel assembly.

b.

Release the grounding strip (1) that secures the display panel cable to the display panel.

c.

Release the adhesive support strip (2) that secures the display panel cable to the display panel.

d.

Disconnect the display panel cable (3) from the display panel.

e.

Disconnect the display panel cable (4) from the touch control board and the sensor board.

f.

Release the display panel cable from the retention clips (5) and routing channel built into the display 
panel assembly.

g.

Remove the display panel cable.

The display panel cable is available using spare part numbers L96497-001 (for use only on computer 
models equipped with WWAN capability) and L96496-001 (for use only on computer models not 
equipped with WWAN capability).

13.

If it is necessary to replace the webcam module and webcam module cable, follow these steps:

a.

Remove the display panel assembly.

b.

Detach the webcam module (1) from the display back cover. (The webcam module is attached to 
the display back cover with double-sided adhesive.)
