Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal 

and replacement.

Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps:

1.

Shut down the computer.

2.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then 
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.

Remove the base enclosure (see 

Base enclosure on page 27

), and then remove the following 

components:

Display assembly (see 

Display assembly on page 29

).

Remove the hard drive:

▲

Disconnect the hard drive cable (1), slide the hard drive horizontally (2), loosen the side brackets (3), 
and then lift the hard drive (4) to remove it (5).
