Your Preloaded Software

Your HP PC is delivered with preloaded software already in place on
the hard disk. This includes the operating system, all the correct
drivers for your hardware, plus special HP utilities to support you if you
should run into difficulties at any time during the working life of the
PC.

To provide a secure backup against software corruption, the entire
preloaded system can be restored using the HP CD-ROMs provided
with your PC. These utilities permit a rapid trouble-free restart should
you ever need to reinstall your operating system, drivers and/or HP
utilities.

Full Recovery of Preloaded Software

Two steps to carry out a complete reinstallation of all preloaded
software on your PC:

1

Use the

 Image Creation and Recovery CD-ROM

 to restore the

operating system (and HP disk partition). Refer to the
documentation on the

Image Creation and Recovery CD-ROM

 for

details

2

When the OS is reinstalled and running, use the

Image Library and

Diagnostics CD-ROM

to reinstall the specific drivers, HP

applications and utilities.
