Upgrading CloudSystem
Prerequisites for upgrading cloud
You must meet the following prerequisites before beginning the update:

You must download the file
HC380-CloudSystem_9.01_Installer.zip
.
•
The environment variable CS9INSTALL must be set. The attributes for this variable are set during
the initial installation.
Upgrading CloudSystem 9.0 to 9.01 and 9.02
1.
On the management node (on which the installation utility was run), open up PowerShell.
2.
Locate the file
runCS9update.ps1
by typing
cd $env:CS9INSTALL
. The file should be in the
location C:\ProgramData\Hewlett-Packard\StoreVirtual\InstantOn\CS9Install\Installer or
%CS9INSTALL%\Installer.
3.
Run the file by typing
.\Installer\runCS9update.ps1
4.
In the HPE Pre-Expansion Credentials dialog, type in the cloudadmin password and click
Next
.
5.
In the HPE Pre-Expansion Credentials dialog, type in the vCenter administrator password and click
Next
.
The upgrade process proceeds and exits upon completion. You can monitor the progress of the
upgrade by accessing the log file
http://DCM_UA1_IP_address:8086/update-logs/cs-update-install-status.log
.
Tenant and Provider Networking
Tenant
1.
In the CloudSystem Operations Console
a.
Point the browser to the URL of the Operations Console. The default IP is specified on the
Appliance Hostnames panel in the installation and deployment utility.
b.
Login as admin user, using the default password unset.
c.
Select Menu > Networking > Tenant Networks.
d.
Add the Segmentation ID range (segmentation is the same as VLAN) with the Add Segmentation
ID Range button. If there is only one VLAN, you can enter it by itself.
2.
In the Horizon console
a.
Point the browser to the URL of the Horizon Console. The default IP is specified on the Appliance
Hostnames panel in the installation and deployment utility.
b.
Login as admin user, default is admin/unset.
c.
Select Project > Network > Networks and then + Create Network
d.
On the Network tab, supply the network name (convention suggests Tenant<VLAN>). Keep
Admin State set to UP.
e.
On the Subnet tab, provide the Subnet Name, Network Address CIDR, and Gateway IP. Keep IP
Version set to IPv4.
f.
On the Subnet Detail tab, provide the range of network addresses.
g.
Click Create when finished.
