1. Prepare the computer for disassembly ( Preparation for disassembly on page 32 ).
2. Remove the bottom cover ( Bottom cover on page 32 ).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41 ).
4. Remove the system board (see System board on page 53 ).
Remove the speakers:

Remove the speakers from the computer (1) . For reinstallation, be sure that the rubber grommets are
properly installed in the speakers (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the speakers.
Display assembly
To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations.
Full hinge-up displays are not available as spare parts. Spare parts for displays are available only at the
subcomponent level.
Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly ( Preparation for disassembly on page 32 ).
2. Remove the bottom cover ( Bottom cover on page 32 ).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 41 ).
4. Remove the power connector cable ( Power connector cable on page 44 ).
Remove the display assembly:
1. Disconnect the antenna cables from the WWAN module (1), and then disconnect the display cable (2).
2. Remove the cables from the clip (3).
3. Disconnect the antenna cables from the WLAN module (4) and then disconnect the left display cable (5).
Component replacement procedures 57
