To install the help file under Microsoft Windows
The help file requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS 3.3 or greater
running on an IBM-compatible PC. The file uses the Microsoft Windows help
viewer, WINHELP.EXE.

Start your PC and start Microsoft Windows.

Insert the 3.5" floppy disk labeled “HP 54620 Pgmr’s Reference with
Example Programs for Windows 3.1 Applications” into the
appropriate diskette drive (A: or B:) of your PC.

Select
File | Run
from the Program Manager, then type in the
following:
<drive>:\install
where
<drive>
is either
A:
or
B:
.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
The installer copies the help file to a directory named
\hp54620
. You can
choose a different directory if desired. It also creates a Program Manager
group and icon that you can use to open the help file with the Microsoft
Windows help viewer.
