Function

Console audio jacks
Connectors used for attaching the cables for the console
microphone and speakers. Each jack is marked with the
appropriate icon.

USB hub peripheral ports
Connectors used for attaching USB peripherals, such as
printers and scanners.

Firmware upgrade switch
During normal operation, the firmware upgrade switch must be
in the NORMAL position.

Firmware upgrade port
The RJ-11 firmware upgrade cable plugs into this connector.
For more information on upgrading the firmware, refer to
chapter 4 of this guide.

Power jack
Connector used for attaching the cable for external power.

Monitor port
Connector used for attaching the video cable for the console
monitor.

CPU ports
Connectors used for attaching the custom cable sets that link
the switch to the computers. Each CPU port includes a
microphone jack, speaker jack, and KVM data connector.
