Display assembly

Full hinge-up displays are not spared. Displays are spared only at the subcomponent level.

Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 26

).

2.

Remove the bottom cover (see 

Bottom cover on page 27

).

3.

Remove the battery (see 

Battery on page 29

).

Remove the display assembly:

1.

Disconnect the display cable from the system board (1).

2.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the WLAN module (2).

3.

Remove the antenna cables from the clips in the speaker (3).

4.

Pull the antenna cables under USB/card reader/power button board (4).

5.

Remove the four Phillips M2.5×6.0 screws (1) from the display hinges.

6.

Rotate the hinges upward (2).
