To remove the fan assembly, use this procedure and illustration.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

2.

Remove the bottom cover (see

3.

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see 

Battery on page 38

).

Remove the fan assembly:

1.

Remove the power connector cable and WLAN antenna cables from the clips in the fan assembly (1).

2.

Disconnect the fan cables from the system board (2).

3.

Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (3) that secure the fan assembly to the computer.
