Folding
Grab the quick release lever laying on the left
side of the frame and turn it forward up
around its axis.
Swivel the lever past the lower seat quick
release until it touches the front frame part.
Use your right hand to pull the whole hinge
upwards a little bit.At the same time pull away
the securing tab from the hinge with your fin-
gertips to open the folding hinge. If necessary
push a little bit from the side where the quick
release lever is situated.
Grab the main tube behind the front boom
clamps with your right hand and the seat stay
of the swingarm with your left hand. Swivel the
rear part onto the front part until the rubber
buffer at the upper seat connection quick re-
lease touches the cross tube of the frame
front part.
While folding take care that the handlebars are
in a position where they will not crash into
the frame rear part. In case your Scorpion fs
26 is equipped with long handlebars, please use
the quick release at the stem clamp to fold the
left handlebar side to the front (see
page 16
).
Make sure all cables and electric wires are
long enough to allow proper folding.The chain
tubes are connected by a flexible rubber joint
positioned in the area of the folding hinge.
Taking off the seat
Open all three quick release levers of the seat
mountings: Unscrew the nut of the upper seat
quick release approximately 4 turns.Turn the
quick release levers of the middle and lower
seat quick release counter clockwise approxi-
mately 4 turns.
With a lowrider rack or water bottle moun-
ting installed, space is limited and it may be ea-
sier to hold the quick release lever and turn
the flat nut on the right side (chainside) of the
seat mountings with a 5 mm Allen key.
Pull the lower seat half out of its mountings,
then the upper seat half.
Folding the frame
Your Scorpion fs 26 folding hinge features a
snap-in function. It makes folding easier and
prevents the frame from folding even when the
quick release is not fastened.
To fold the frame stand behind the main fra-
me’s crosstube and look to the left front
wheel.
Caution!
When storing the seat, please take
care not to bend or break the seat mount-
ings. Protect the edges of the seat mountings
with padding to avoid scratching other ob-
jects with the seat mountings.
