Troubleshooting
Problem

The pilot will
not light.
The regulator is closed.
See Ignition.
The regulator is not � tted
correctly.
See Connecting the gas bottle.
The gas bottle is nearly empty. Replace it.
The opening by the pilot is
blocked.
Clean the opening with a pipe cleaner
or a piece of steel wire.
There is air in the pipe so the
gas is not reaching the pilot.
Open the regulator on the gas bottle
and hold the adjustment button in for
3-4 minutes beforetrying to ignite the
patio heater.
There is no spark when the
igniter button is pressed.
Have the igniter button repaired or
replaced by a professional.
Light the pilot using � replace matches
or a lighter.
You can then clearly see if the
pilot is lit or not.
It can be diffi cult to see in daylight
if the pilot is lit. Turn the adjustment
button to HI and see if the burner is lit.
The pilot goes
out.
There is dirt around the pilot.
Clean the area around the pilot with a
small brush or pipe cleaner.
There is a leak.
See ‘Leak test’.
The pilot has blown out.
Move the patio heater into a sheltered
location.
The burner will
not light.
The opening by the burner is
blocked.
Clean the opening with a pipe cleaner
or a piece of steel wire.
There is dirt in the gas supply
pipe.
