Removable Oven Bottom
The oven bottom can be removed
to make cleaning easier after heavy
spillovers and to enable you to
reach the oven burner.
To remove:
1. Slide the tab at the center front
of the oven bottom to the left.
2. Lift the oven bottom up and out.
To replace:
1. Slip the oven bottom into the
oven so the tabs in the rear of the
oven bottom fit into the slots in the
oven back.
2. Lower the front of the oven
bottom into place and slide the
front tab to the right to lock the
oven bottom into place.
The oven bottom has a porcelain
enamel finish. To make cleaning
easier, protect the oven bottom
from excessive spillovers. This is
particularly important when baking
a fruit pie or other
with high
acid content. Hot
or
foods that are acid in content such
as milk, tomato or sauerkraut, and
sauces with vinegar or lemon juice,

the porcelain enamel surface.
To protect the oven bottom
surface, place a piece of’ aluminum
foil slightly larger than
baking
dish or a small cookie sheet on a
lower shelf or under the baking
dish to catch any spillovers. It
should not completely cover the
shelf as this would cause uneven
heat in the oven. Aluminum
foil should not be placed on
oven bottom.
If a

bottom allow the oven to cool first.
You
clean the bottom with soap
and water, mild abrasive cleanser
or soap-filled abrasive
