POSSIBLE CAUSE AND REMEDY
●
Pilots are not lit. On models with standing pilots, lift cooktop and hold lighted match
next to pilot opening between front and rear burners (see page 8). On models with
electric ignition, make sure electrical plug is plugged into a live power outlet.
●
Burner holes on the side or around the top of burner may be clogged. Remove burner
and clean them with a safety pin or paper clip. Make sure you do not enlarge the holes.
●
Burners may not be fitted correctly onto the mounting brackets. Remove and reinstall
them properly.

If burner flames look like (A), call for service. Normal burner flames should look
like (B) or (C), depending on the type of gas you use.
●
With LP gas, some yellow tipping on inner cones is normal.
o If range is connected to LP gas, check
steps in the Installation Instructions.
Make sure thermostat capillary bulb (located in upper portion of oven) is in correct
position, not touching oven sides and not coated with anything.
●
Aluminum foil being used improperly in oven.
●
Oven vent blocked on top of range.
●
Incorrect cookware being used. Check each cooking section for cookware tips or
recommendations.
●
Oven bottom not securely seated in position.
OVEN CONTROL knob set incorrectly or not turned on.
o Check common baking, roasting and broiling problems on pages
Range electrical plug must be securely seated in a live power outlet. Check for blown
fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Bulb may be loose or burned out.
●
Electrical plug must be plugged into a live power outlet.
. Improper air/gas ratio in oven. Adjust oven burner air shutter.
●
An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is normal for the first few times
oven is used. This is temporary.
