Levelling discs
Levelling discs are installed behind the tines to
prevent ridge formation during any conditions
of use.
The discs distribute the thrown up soil and level
the ground in front of the packer.
Depth setting
The levelling discs must be adjusted after ad-
justing the tools.

Machines with tyre packer

Open the lock valves of the levelling discs.

2. Lower the machine with pressure until the
levelling discs rest against the bolts for the
depth adjustment.

Drive several metres in the field to check the
working quality of the levelling discs.
The soil shall be levelled in front of the packer
to achieve uniform consolidation.

If a heap of soil is created behind the discs,
they must be set deeper.
•
If a furrow is created behind the discs, they
must be set more shallow.
4. Raise the machine to adjust the levelling
discs and to relieve the bolts for depth ad-
justment.

Insert the bolts into a different hole.
6. Lower the machine again with pressure until
the levelling discs rest against the bolts for
the depth adjustment.

Adjust the border discs on both sides of the
machine to create a clean connection to the
area already cultivated.

Check the settings in the field and correct
again, if required.
7. Finally, lower the machine with pressure and
on machines with tyre packer close the lock
valves of the levelling discs.
The discs are now fixed in this position.
