Different variants are available for the components:
•
coulter tip - narrow, carbide-tipped (HM)
•
Guide plate - narrow, wide
•
lateral wings - narrow, carbide-tipped (HM)
Carbide-tipped tips and lateral wings increase
the service life.
Depending on the type of soil, the lateral wings
are suitable up to approx. 20 cm working depth
and ensure full-area tillage.
Use without lateral wings is recommended with
deep tillage.
Wide tips or narrow lateral wings (for large work-
ing depth) are recommended for light soil.
4-hole wing
Adjustable wings are available for shallow soil
or overall cutting of the plants.
The working depth of the wings can be adjusted
in relationship to coulter tip.

Changing the coulter
The following must be observed when replac-
ing components of the MulchMix, LD and ULD
coulter (coulter tips, guide plates, wings):

Use only original HORSCH wear items.
¾
Use new screws and nuts with each replacement.
¾
Check for correct seating of the four-cornered
shaft coulter screws in the coulter tips and
guide plates:

Observe the sequence when tightening Mulch-
Mix coulter tips together with guide plates:

Tighten the screw connections for mounting
the wings on the nut. Do not tighten on the
screw head.
¾
Tighten all screw connections with a nutrunner
or torque spanner.
¾
Observe the tightening torque: 160 ± 10 Nm
